A warmer home starts in the attic.

Home hard to keep warm? We check what’s above your ceiling, then put together the right insulation, air sealing and baffle plan.

TrueFlight installer adding blown-in attic insulation

Good coverage. Room for the attic to breathe.

We measure the existing depth, address accessible air leaks and install consistent Owens Corning insulation coverage across the attic.

R60 attic insulation.

In line with City of Calgary guidance. That’s our starting target; we check your attic before recommending the scope.

Baffles before the top-up. Adding insulation must not bury the soffit openings. Baffles hold the insulation back and leave an air channel above it. We check the eaves first, then add or correct baffles where needed before the top-up.

A few straight answers.

Should I top up to R60?

R60 is our starting target, in line with City of Calgary guidance. We measure the existing insulation and check coverage, air leaks and space at the eaves before recommending how much to add.

My house is older. How do I know if it needs a top-up?

If the house is hard to keep warm and the attic has not been checked, start with an assessment. Age alone does not tell us the insulation level. We look for thin coverage, gaps and air leaks, then show you what needs attention.

Do I need to remove the old insulation?

Not always. Dry material in suitable condition can often stay beneath a top-up. Wet, damaged or suspect material needs a separate assessment before anything is added. We explain that finding and the next step rather than cover it over.

Why are baffles part of the job?

Baffles keep an air channel open at the eaves where the attic uses soffit intake. Without that space, a top-up can block ventilation. We check the existing baffles and include any needed work in the quote.

Is air sealing the same thing as adding insulation?

No. Insulation slows heat moving through the ceiling; air sealing addresses gaps where indoor air leaks into the attic. Accessible leaks should be considered before the top-up so new material does not bury the problem.

How much could I save on heating?

That depends on what is there now and how the rest of the house performs. Thin, uneven insulation and significant air leaks usually leave more room for improvement. We do not promise one bill reduction for every home.

Is winter a good time to do it?

Yes. Attic insulation is a big part of our cold-weather work. You do not need to wait for spring to arrange an assessment. Summer work is possible too, but hot attics need more planning.

Can I combine insulation with roof work?

Yes. Tell us before the roof work is booked so we can coordinate access and review the insulation, baffles and roof ventilation together. We quote the attic work clearly rather than assume it is included with new shingles.

Do you offer financing for insulation?

Yes. The current insulation offer is six months with no payments and no interest, with no backdated interest. The full eligibility, deadline and repayment terms are shown below. We can explain the options when you book your free assessment.
